We all, working at the woody manufactory must have sawdust in our veins.
We have realized, that the trees in front of our windows are not only the best playgrounds but also the best resources of our world. Wood is biodegradable, recyclable and renewable. Wood also has something wonderful, fascinating and can be sensual. But not every kind of wood can be used.
Therefore we take care to use wood which comes out of sustainable production.

HISTORY of

Woody

The flourishing company woody wood-o-flex GmbH has grown from a traditional family shop which exists since 1922 and was founded by Michael Piroutz. It is situated in lower Carinthia in the hills near Klopeinersee. In the beginning wooden shoes and handles for farming tools have been produced. Customers were mostly farmers.

POSITIONING

The inner bond to nature and wood as a natural material has lead
to the production of working shoes and has been the first step to the
new positioning, which took place in the beginning of 2000.

The production of woody sandals und clogs

Main clients today are shoe markets and exclusive shoe shops mostly in Austria and Germany, which are interested in sustainable products. The growing demands for woody sandals and clogs and the higher brand awareness also lead to an increasing number of employees from an one-man business to now 15 employees.

woody wood-o-flex GmbH is one of the leading companies in this product-range and is aiming to increase this market position. Gerhard Piroutz and his team of highly trained workers and employees and also a close network of authorized dealers and shops guarantee a strong presence of woody shoes and the supply of clients in whole Europe.
